Project Status: Draft Two Complete, no active plans to start draft three currently.

Genre: Contemporary coming of age romance

The Vibes: A art school in London, pink and sparkly, explores every form of art

Origin Story: The idea for this story started with the side character from my very first book, I wanted to dive deeper into her life that I had hinted at, but didn’t know myself because… panster. I really didn’t have some big idea moment for this story, I remember getting out my notebook on a roadtrip and trying too decide on the next story I should write, and simply brainstorming until this story bloomed.

While I might one day come back to this story, I have realized my weakness is in anything contemporary, that along with the trauma of having to scrap the first draft before even getting through reading half of it because I tried way to hard to be a plotter, the whole story felt forced and lifeless. I made it though the second draft and fixed a lot of it I think, but a part of me still wonders if this story is simply broken. That or my ability to write modern dialogue.

And yet I love the characters and theme of this story to much to give up hope, so now it will wait for me in Scrivener until I work up the courage to come back to it.
